we have received a load of books
and furniture and crockery
and finally we have our bed
and lots of stuff that i forgot
you say it gave you back your life
we had a lot of life without
our bed in other people's beds
or maybe not an awful lot
we have received a load of books
and tableware and draperies
we also had a lot of strife
and anyway, it was ok
in other people's neighbourhoods
it was ok to take it slow
we have received a lot of stuff
it feels like yesterday we left
it will take years to settle here
